Russian Center of Pilgrimage, Tourism to be built in Jerusalem
Moscow, January 30, Interfax - The Russian Center of Pilgrimage and Tourism will be built on the side of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.
A respective statement was signed in Moscow on Wednesday by chairman of the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society (IOPS) and the Orthodox Palestinian Society on the Holy Land Sergey Stepashin and Archbishop Mark of Berlin, Germany and Great Britain.
The agreement involves joint development of the construction site.
At the meeting the parties exchanged their views on joint construction of the Center, the opening of an IOPS office at St. Sergius Metochion, the coordination of liaisons between the two Orthodox Palestinian Societies with Israeli and Palestinian authorities.
